Brothers Herb and Steve Dunton have been business partners since shortly after high school graduation in the late 1970's. In 1988, after working together on various house building and land assembly projects, they began to collaborate in the real estate investment and development business.
Both Herb and Steve have been recognized for their business acumen and place a high priority on principled ethics and giving back to their community both locally and abroad. They have been privileged to offer their expertise to resolving loan problems encountered by traditional financial institutions and to serve as business advisors to private sector businesses and social improvement organizations. Their experience in finance, mortgage lending, revenue property ownership and management, forestry and land development have created a winning skill set. Their vision and focus on strategic negotiations and sensitivity to environmental and community needs inspires confidence in all areas of real estate investment and community building.
Herbert James Dunton
Herb Dunton is married and lives with his wife Susanne and their two children in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
Herb is President and co-founder of Columbia National Investments Ltd. (CNI), a leading land acquisition and development company incorporated in British Columbia in 1992. He is a practicing lawyer and member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association. In addition to his business experience and expertise in corporate, commercial and real estate law, Herb's specialty is constitutional law, with a strong personal interest in human rights and freedoms law.
Herb was born and raised in Victoria, B.C., and graduated from Summit Pacific College with a diploma in Theology, and Vanguard University in southern California with a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science, both summa cum laude. He received his LL.B. (law degree) from the University of British Columbia.
Robert Stephen Dunton
Steve Dunton is married and lives with his wife Connie and their four children in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
Steve is the CEO and co-founder of Columbia National Investments Ltd. (CNI), a leading land acquisition and development company incorporated in British Columbia in 1992.
Steve was born and raised in Victoria, B.C. He has been privileged to be asked to serve as a business advisor, facilitator, and public speaker to business leaders and not-for-profit organizations locally and abroad and to government leaders in developing nations. The focus of his message is on strategies for conducting business successfully with integrity, and the high importance of living ethically and philanthropically... giving back to your community.
